Kevin Love and Cedi Osman help the Cleveland Cavaliers storm back.

The Pacers just said goodbye to Caris LeVert, who walked across the arena before the game on Sunday and took a spot at his new locker alongside the rest of the Cleveland Cavaliers. Maybe not literally, but the Pacers did trade him to the Cavs, and as Indiana was in town against Cleveland, that’s very likely what actually happened. Yet, it still wasn’t the biggest news story as the game came to a close; the absolute marksmanship of Cedi Osman and Kevin Love was.

Both Love and Osman had a rough start to the game, and the team was struggling offensively. They’d been struggling offensively for a few games now, due in part to Darius Garland’s injury. The team was seeing what a future with Brandon Goodwin in the starting five looked like, and it looked bad. So the deal was done to get LeVert, who while not a great defender, can provide an offensive punch for the Cavs; potentially off the bench.

Or in the starting five while Lauri Markkanen is out.

Love and Osman helped lead a 37-point, fourth-quarter comeback against the Pacers; outscoring Indiana 37-17 to close out the game. The Cavs got the final 98-85 and moved to 33-21 on the season.

Cavs Top 3

  1. Rajon Rondo
  2. Cedi Love
  3. Kevin Love

A lot of guys stepped up this game, continuing the “next man up” mentality that the team has, but kudos goes to Rajon Rondo who had a great game conducting the offense. He finished with 15 points, 12 assists, five rebounds, and a  team-high box+/- of +26. A great game by Rondo no doubt, but a game filled with outstanding performances. Any other night and Rondo gets the three points but this time he only gets the one.

The two-pointer for the evening goes to Cedi Osman, who started out struggling from the floor. He was a key contributor in the comeback, finishing with 22 points, on 50% shooting on the night, while hitting 40% from three.

Kevin Love takes home the top prize of three points, going 50% from three, finishing with 19 points, seven rebounds, five assists, two steals, and the second-highest box+/- of the Cavaliers with +21.
