Cleveland Browns nab stud WR, K in 2022 post Senior Bowl mock draft
NFL Draft Round 1, Picks 1-5
1.Jags,Evan Neal, OT, Alabama
He’s 6-foot-7, 350 pounds and plays at the best program in the country. With no receiver worthy of taking at No. 1, Jacksonville needs to ensure they protect last year’s No. 1 overall pick, Trevor Lawrence.
2. Lions, Aidan Hutchinson, DE, Michigan
The Browns have been here before. With no clear franchise quarterback to take this early, take the defensive end who can anchor the line for a decade. Hutchison stays in-state.
3. Texans, Kayvon Thibodeaux, DE, Oregon
With no franchise quarterback available, Thibodeaux is one heck of a consolation prize. He’s worthy of going first, or second–kind of like how last summer’s NBA Draft played out.
4. Jets, Derek Singley Jr., CB, Georgia
It’s a position of need and Singletary is a premier prospect. He was unbelievable as a freshman, but dealt with injuries.
5. Giants, George Karlaftis, EDGE, Purdue
New York has a history of fielding great pass rushers, and the Giants must get back to doing what they do best.
