The Cleveland Browns are once again looking towards the NFL Draft as a cure-all to what ails them. After a disappointing 2021, the Browns need a strong draft to help give the fans hope for a better and more compelling 2022.

This is going to be one of three mocks, with the focus on each being a different starting point. What does the draft look like when the Browns focus on three key issues; improved receiver play, improved defensive tackle play, and improved quarterback play.

To be clear, I don’t think the Browns need to move on from Baker Mayfield, though that doesn’t mean he isn’t on a short leash. It’s just rather odd to rush to replace him when we all know that there isn’t a lot of better options. Not only that, but we’ve been finding out more and more in the NFL these days, a great quarterback is hard to come by and a great quarterback can’t win anything without a team around him.

So can Mayfield get the job done? Sure, I mean, if Matthew Staffard, Joe Flacco and Nick Foles can, why not Mayfield?

It’s a long-shot, sure, but isn’t that the curse of being a Browns fan?

So with that said, we’re starting the draft from the receiver position to start this off.
