Are Darius Garland, Jarrett Allen, and Evan Mobley of the Cleveland Cavaliers among the league’s best?

Darius Garland, Jarrett Allen, and Evan Mobley are becoming household names for the Cleveland Cavaliers this year. The team is made up of these young, superstars in the making and two of whom are already All-Stars, while the third, Mobley, is a near-lock to win the Rookie of the Year. While he and Allen will likely be in the top five for the Defensive Player of the Year.

Needless to say, they’re very good. Yet, are they Top 10 in the league at their positions good? Is Garland a Top 10 point guard? Is Mobley a Top 10 power forward? Is Allen a Top 10 center?

Good question, simple answer; yes.

It’s may be a bit jarring to think about the idea of them being in the Top 10 in the league at their respective positions but it’s very true. Would you say that Julius Randle is better than Mobley? What about Fred Vanfleet, is he better than Garland? How many centers would you put over Jarrett Allen? Maybe three or four at best.

It seems pretty easy to accept that each guy is near the top of the list considering how they play.

Jarrett Allen, Evan Mobley, and Darius Garland are Top 10 guys, and fans should revel in that

The Cleveland Cavaliers have three Top 50 players, that’s what this comes down to. Sure, they had three Top 50 players from 2014 to 2018 but not since. The team can boast that they have three guys who are arguably in the top five of their positions and are all under 23 years old.

The future is bright with the Cavaliers, and the last quarter of the season is going to be a proving ground for these guys to show the world what they’re capable of doing as a unit.

It’s possible that by the end of the season, there’s no doubt who these dudes are, and where they land in the league’s hierarchy.

Next. It sounds like the Cavaliers don’t want LeBron James back. dark
