The Cleveland Browns have some free agents to make decisions on.

Hope springs eternal for the Cleveland Browns faithful. With every new offseason comes a new potential for the Browns to actually live up to their expectations. The Browns have to make some decisions for this offseason, with 19 potential free agents on their roster, the team has to make some decisions and spend wisely.

Thanks to Spotrac, we know each player whose deal is up for 2022 and we’re going to go through them in three categories.

The first is “Should Not Be Brought Back” list. These players either failed to play well, failed to behave on and off the field, or failed outright. These are the players who have no discernable qualities worth holding on to.

The second is accurately entitled “Should Only Be Brought Back at Right Price”. This list is made up of guys who have value and can bring something to the table but should at no point be over-paid to retain. In fact, most of them should take pay cuts to come back. Losing one of these players isn’t to be seen as a bad thing, but it may open up a hole that needs to be filled.

The last category is the most obviously titled “Needs to Come Back”. These are the players who have shown great potential and great promise as long-term starters on the Browns. Over-paying for these players, within reason, is the play to make.

Now, this is as close to a complete list as possible, without going into every practice squad player the team has. If they were on the Spotrac page for Browns’ free agents, they were listed here. If they weren’t, then they won’t pop up.
