The Cleveland Cavaliers are inducting four to their Wall of Honor.

During the Cleveland Cavaliers broadcast on Tuesday, it was revealed that the team would be honoring four Cavalier legends to their Wall of Honor. For those who don’t know what the Wall of Honor is, it’s a large wall (duh) that has photos and accomplishments adorned to it. It’s actually quite spectacular to look at, so don’t let the pedestrian name take away how majestic this really looks in person.

The latest four inductees to be celebrated are former Cavaliers owner Gordon Gund, former coach and player Lenny Wilkens, and former players World B. Free and Campy Russell.

They’re joining established Cavalier legends like Wayne Embry, Bill Fitch, John Johnson, Nick Mileti, John “Hot Rod” Williams, Austin Carr, Brad Daugherty, Zydrunas Ilgauskas, Larry Nance, Mark Price, Bobby “Bingo” Smith, Joe Tait, and Nate Thurmond, who have already been enshrined in the Wall of Honor.

The Cleveland Cavaliers have a current player on his way to the Wall of Honor

When it comes to current players, there are a few who could end up on the wall of Honor one day, yet one is a lock to go up there; Kevin Love. If you want to debate if Love is an obvious Hall of Famer or not, that’s fair. I think it’s more than likely he gets in, but that’s not a debate that I think is unfair to have.

As far as a Cavalier legend goes, he’s a no-doubter. He’ll likely have his number retired, go up on the wall, and be remembered as the one player who not only helped the Cavaliers get and win an NBA Championship but will also be seen as a bridge player, who helped get the Cavaliers back to the playoffs six years after winning a title.

He’s a Cavaliers legend no doubt about it.
