The Cleveland Cavaliers fell to the Bulls on Saturday night.

Even Evan Mobley couldn’t do it all on his own but he sure did try. Mobley took off in the first quarter in a game that the Cavaliers needed to help ensure their playoff future. While the team is clearly heading to the playoffs, what isn’t sure is if they’ll have home-court advantage or if they’ll be in the play-in games.

Games against Chicago are needed wins but with Caris LeVert and Jarrett Allen out due to injury, the team is unable to really throw out their best efforts. The team has some depth but they’re not exactly the most offensively infused group of bench players.

The Cavs fell 101-91 on Saturday. They are now 38-29 on the season.

Defensively they can go, but shot selection is crucial for this team and when your best player has an off game as Darius Garland had for his second-straight game, the team is likely to struggle. Rough shooting nights from Cedi Osman and Kevin Love didn’t help either. Still, there’s not much the team can do at this point besides look to the G-League, and they should probably do just that. The Cavs need some perimeter help on offense and if there is an upgrade over Ed Davis, the team should look for it. They won’t find someone that can fill in for Allen, and a player like Tristan Thompson has proven to be anything but worthwhile, but anyone who can at least help alter-shots and has fresh legs will be helpful.

Evan Mobley takes top spot for the Cleveland Cavaliers against the Chicago Bulls

  1. Darius Garland
  2. Isaac Okoro
  3. Evan Mobley

Darius Garland didn’t have a great game but then again, no one really did. Cedi Osman went 1-8 from three, Kevin Love only took nine shots, and frankly, most of the team just didn’t play well. Garland had 25 points, seven rebounds, and seven assists, but also had six turnovers and had a BPM of -8.

We’re giving Isaac Okoro the two-pointer, he didn’t shoot or score much, just six points on five attempts but he was one of the few Cleveland Cavaliers to have a BPM in the positives (+11), which was a team-high.

Lastly, the Cavs will have Evan Mobley sitting atop the throne heading into their next game. Mobley gets the three points on the season for his 17 points and seven rebounds performance, while postin ga BPM of +7, the second highest of the night.
