The Cleveland Browns have been a lightning rod for debate after trading for Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson.

In trading for the former first-round pick, Cleveland is walking a tight rope without a net, banking the franchise’s future on an individual who is currently up against 22 civil lawsuits alleging sexual misconduct.

To get Watson, the Browns parted with three first-round picks, which includes the 13th overall pick in this spring’s draft.

The team still has big needs to fill, though, and GM Andrew Berry should be able to find a contributor when Cleveland makes its first with in the second round (44th overall).

Prior to the deal, the expectation was that the Brown were going to draft a receiver or an edge rusher.

There’s still plenty that can change leading up to the draft day, like, will Jadeveon Clowney return? What about Jarvis Landry? Would signing these players short-term impact what Berry does on draft day.

We’ll get into all that as we look at five players the Browns should target with the 44th pick.
