3. DE Myles Garrett, 2017 – 1st Overall

When it’s all said and done, Myles Garrett may be much higher on the list. It’ll be hard because the next two men are sure-fire Hall of Famers waiting for their gold jackets to be delivered, but if anyone can surpass them it’s Garrett.

Currently, Garrett is a three-time Pro Bowler and a three-time All-Pro player, who has 58.5 career sacks to his name and four straight seasons of 10+ sacks in a row. He’s currently sixth all-time on the Browns’ all-time sack list, but four of those men; Bill Glass, Jerry Sherk, Walter Johnson, and Paul Wiggin don’t technically have any sacks. All four of them played prior to 1982 when the sack stat was first used.

Pro Football Reference and other sites went back and watched game films from back then to come up with those stats. The only player who has more recognized sacks than Garrett in Browns’ history is the great Clay Matthews who has 75.

It’s very possible that Garrett can hit that mark in three or four more years at his current pace. Garrett has already lived up to his lofty draft selection and despite him begging the Dallas Cowboys to draft him, and that whole Mason Rudolph assault he caused, he’s largely been a model player.
