The Cleveland Cavaliers have to move on from Rajon Rondo

The Cleveland Cavaliers have no choice but to move on from Rajon Rondo.
Despite his up-in-the-air status prior to the news breaking, there was a lot of conversation around whether or not Rajon Rondo would return to the Cleveland Cavaliers. The team needed depth at the position and Rondo was a fine player for the Cavs this past season.
Yet, with the newest allegations coming out against the mercurial point guard, the team has no option but to move on from him.
Rondo is in hot water over threatening a woman with a gun in her house last week. A situation so credible the courts have given her a restraining order against Rondo. ESPN is reporting that her allegations were made in the EPO, saying;
"Rondo and a child were playing video games Wednesday when she asked the child to separate laundry. Rondo reacted angrily, according to the woman, ripping the game console out of the wall and smashing several items in the house, leaving the boy and another child there upset.The woman alleges that Rondo said to her “you’re dead” before leaving the house, only to return shortly thereafter, this time with a gun and demanding to see one of the children. The woman said she grew scared of the situation, so she brought the child downstairs, and Rondo pulled the child outside, allegedly while still holding the gun, while he yelled at him. He then demanded to see the other child, too, and she also came outside, as Rondo yelled at both of them for being afraid of him, the woman alleged."
A former police chief, Yvette Gentry was called by the alleged victim and was able to deescalate the situation and sent Rondo home, minus the gun. Multiple eye-witnesses, an interaction with a police officer, and a restraining order are more than enough to decide that Rondo is better off being someone else’s problem.
Rajon Rondo has a history of causing problems
When Rondo was younger, he had a history of causing issues wherever he went. He had a row with Ray Allen, then in Dallas, he and Rick Carlisle butted heads. After moving on to Sacramento Rondo got into it with referee Billy Kennedy and used a gay slur toward Kennedy. Rondo was slammed in the moment and Kennedy had to essentially out himself as gay in the aftermath. A further damnation of Rondo’s actions followed.
He had interpersonal issues in Sacramento as well, stemming from issues with teammates, coaches, and higher-ups. Yet, after that, the buzz on him kinda died down. There weren’t as many national stories.
I thought that was it, but apparently, there were more issues that weren’t as publicized. Like how he shoved a woman and was sued for it, or when he made a threatening hand motion at a fan and started an incident that many in the NBA sphere had issues with.
I thought he had chilled out since his time in Sacramento. It appears as though that was not the case. He’s every bit as vile and uncontrollable as they come and has no business returning to the team next year; regardless of whether the Cavs can convince Ricky Rubio to return to the team.
The team would be better off getting some scrub point guard than bringing back this volatile menace. To give you an idea of how little the Cavs value him, they’re not releasing a statement on the issue because they have no intention of re-signing him apparently.
