The Cleveland Browns have some potential on this offense that’s waiting to be realized.

The hope of any team from year to year is to see talent take the next leap in their development. The Cleveland Browns are no different and with so much money tied up over the next few years, relying on guys that were drafted is imperative to keep the window for winning open. Like any good championship squad, it starts with developing homegrown talent.

The team is going to re-work its scheme and become more pass-happy than in years past, and that means fewer carries for some, but more opportunities for others.

The Browns’ passing offense is filled with guys who could benefit from having more targets thrown their way. To be clear, we’re not looking at guys like Amari Cooper or David Njoku; they’re expected to get theirs. Whether they have big seasons or not is on them. This is a list looking at guys who have been limited to some degree in the offense since arriving and may raise their profile thanks to the new offensive outlook.

Three offensive players who are poised for a big year

TE Harrison Bryant

Harrison Bryant was splitting time with Njoku and Austin Hooper for two seasons and at times showed himself to be the most reliable pass-catcher of the three. With his height and his pass-catching skills, he could be a nice option for the team going forward, especially in the red zone.

WR Donovan Peoples-Jones

Donovan Peoples-Jones is a project player, and it’s time to see if he’s ready to take the next step. You can only blame quarterback play and scheme fit for so long until you have to ask yourself if this cat really is the player we need. Peoples-Jones will have every opportunity to prove just that in 2022.

RB Demetric Felton

Being drafted as the heir apparent to replace Kareem Hunt isn’t exactly easy to live up to. Demetric Felton is someone who has a lot of potential but hasn’t put it all together yet. Being a pass-catcher running back, who may line up at receiver more than not, Felton will likely see his volume of passes thrown his way increase. He’ll have every opportunity to prove he can deliver.
