Deshaun Watson may destroy the legacies of Cleveland Browns officials at this rate, if he hasn’t yet

At least 66 women. That’s the new report from Jenny Vrentas of the New York Times, who reports that over the course of an 18-month span, current Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson sought massages from more than 66 women. One woman, who neither filed charges nor filed a lawsuit, revealed that Watson begged her for oral sex during their session, to which she replied;

"What is it like being famous? Like, what’s going on? You’re about to mess up everything."

The report specifies that Watson had “more than a hundred” massages over that time period. Here’s the kicker, the whole “it’s a conspiracy” angle is about to get wrecked; the Texans knew something was going on and gave him nondisclosure agreements to help protect their asset. Even going as far as renting hotel rooms for him.

So why did the Texans give Watson NDA’s? Well, because one of the women who is now suing him, threatened to expose him before Watson requested a trade out of Houston. Sure doesn’t make sense for all these accusations to be made up, especially if the report about the Texans trying to protect him is true.

In even more damning allegations, despite Watson’s lawyer, Rusty Hardin, claiming he only booked so many different therapists due to Covid-related shutdowns, the Times found that many of the booked appointments came before 2020 or after everything re-opened in Houston.

Then, as if things can’t get worse (oh, they can) there’s Dionne Louis who would hire security when Waston came into the spa she owned. She claims it was just to protect him and his assets. The phrase “she looked out for him” was used to describe their relationship. He even went as far as to pay her $5,000 for “spa equipment”, and in turn, she got him at least three appointments with unlicensed massage therapists who worked for her.

According to the Times, four of the women who are suing Watson worked for Louis’ spa, and they all claimed that she gave him special attention. Louis even sent one of these women a text message after a “therapy session” gone wrong, with Louis alleging to the employee that she told Watson off;

"I been talking to Deshaun I just told his ass off he got it now.” Louis added in a second message, “I told him he can’t treat us black women any kind of way.”"

Louis denies sending the texts, but according to the Times, the civil suits indicate there was evidence that Louis sent the messages from her phone.

As for why the DA didn’t get an indictment? Well, there may be something more there. There’s a claim that Hardin spent a lot of time with the Houston sex crimes prosecutor, Johna Stallings. Stallings was handling the Watson case, and according to Njeri Mathis Rutledge, a former Harris County prosecutor, the amount of contact was “noteworthy”.

The same amount of time was not given to the lawyer of the victims, Tony Buzbee. According to the report, Buzbee and DA Stallings had just one exchange prior to the grand jury. Rutledge was unable to get a grand jury to indict, despite everything they knew, and now many more people are asking how she wasn’t able to do so with all the evidence we have.

The Times article is damning and references several women who aren’t suing Watson but are still telling their experiences with the embattled quarterback. None of them are good.

Deshaun Watson may ruin a lot of Cleveland Browns’ reputations

This isn’t going away, the allegations are just getting worse and more and more people are being exposed for their involvement in his activities. The strangest part is Watson isn’t just denying he never did anything, he claims he has zero ideas why he’s in trouble. Notoriously saying during questioning;

"I’m still trying to figure out why we in the situation we are in right now, why I’m talking to you guys, why you guys are interviewing me. I don’t know. Do not know."

This is a man who says he has no problem, this is a man who’s lied about how many message therapists he’s had, this is a man who has made women cry and for some reason, can’t remember why. The evidence, the allegations, the revelations are all coming in. There is no hiding from this.

The worst part is the fact that the Browns are now forced to admit they either A) didn’t do any due diligence and took Watson and his attorney at their word or B) they did do their due diligence, knew this was all coming, and just didn’t care.

Frankly, I don’t know how Kevin Stefanski or Andrew Berry survive this disaster, either with their legacy or their careers. This is on them as much as Jimmy Haslam. Don’t believe for a second that it can’t get worse.

It can, and I would wager it most certainly will.
