The Cleveland Cavaliers open up the regular season against the Toronto Raptors.

NBA fans got hyped this week as the NBA schedule got released. I’ll never understand that, as the NBA has every team play every team. There’s no shocker. Heck, even the NFL schedules are already “pre-known”. I’ve never cared about the order of the teams that are played and I have no idea why some fans do. I’d get baseball because you don’t play every team in the league, but otherwise, what’s the point of hyping up the schedule? What makes the Cleveland Cavaliers season opener so interesting is that it’s against the Toronto Raptors.

And I’m reminded again just how badly Evan Mobley got screwed out of winning the Rookie of the Year Award. Yes, Scottie Barnes of all people ended up getting the award, keeping the Cavs from claiming it for the third time, after LeBron James and Kyrie Irving won the awards first.

Then again, Mobley getting screwed out of the award is very Cavaliers of him. Brad Daugherty and Ron Harper both got screwed out of the 1987 version, losing to Chuck Person. Person’s a decent guy, a good player, and even a former Cavaliers coach but come on, Daugherty? He is the Cavs. If you’re not talking about LeBron James, usually it’s Daugherty.

Now we’re having to be reminded of this travesty of justice to start the NBA season.

What killed the dinosaurs? The Ice Age!

When the Raptors face the Cavs, a freeze will be coming. The Cavs will go to Toronto and kick some ice. If revenge is a dish best served cold, then put on your Sunday finest. It’s time to feast! Ok, I’m done quoting Arnold Schwarzenegger from Batman and Robin. The basic gist of quoting Arnie is that Mobley, and the Cavs, have a chance to prove once and for all why the Cavs got Tim Duncan 2.0 and the Raptors got Michael Carter-Williams 2.0.

I want Mobley to put Barnes on a few posters, and win by 30.

Anything less won’t be enough to get the proper revenge for being shafted by the NBA.

This Kevin Durant trade to the Cleveland Cavaliers is among the worst. dark. Next
