3 Good and 3 Bad from the Cleveland Browns loss to the Atlanta Falcons
By Chad Porto
The Good
Nick Chubb’s running game
Despite Kareem Hunt’s yards-per-carry, he actually played very poorly. Without his lone 20-yard rush, he only averaged 3.2 yards-per-carry. Nick Chubb, on the other hand, has proven himself as the only reason this Browns team is in games at any point. He averaged five yards-per-carry without his 28-yard run, and 6.2 with it. Chubb may be on a 2-2 team about to start a stretch against very good teams, but he should be in the early conversation for the NFL Most Valuable Player award.
The guard play
Ethan Pocic looked awful, as did Jedrick Wills. The reason they aren’t killing the line is due to how good Joel Bitonio and Wyatt Teller are. When you can basically rely on those two to basically cover two guys at once, you can do a heck of a lot more with the running game.
Cade York
Had the coaching staff just kicked the ball with Cade York in the first quarter when they were looking at 4th and goal, the Browns would’ve had a chance to win that game, or at least, go to overtime. They didn’t, and that’s not an indictment on York. He went 2-2 on field goal attempts and 2-2 on extra point attempts.
