Three good from the Cleveland Browns. vs. Los Angeles Chargers game

Nick Chubb

Nick Chubb is a Top 3 guy in the MVP race in my opinion. He’s so good and continues to prove this laughable fallacy that Kareem Hunt is as good as him wrong. Kareem Hunt proved once again he’s not anything special against the Chargers but without Chubb, the Browns aren’t even in this game. Chubb’s ability to shimmy his way through defenses is so unheralded that fans really don’t grasp how talented he is. He doesn’t over-luke, nor does he always run through guys, it’s a subtle movement that opens up a load of possibilities.

Donovan Peoples-Jones and Amari Cooper both getting action

The biggest gripe about this offense is that Amari Cooper or Donovan Peoples-Jones has a good showing, usually at the cost of others. That wasn’t the case this week, as Peoples-Jones and Cooper both had a nice showing. Neither a had massive game, but they had enough of an impact that both players should be happy with their performances. Same for David Njoku, who also had a good outing.

(Mostly) Jacoby Brissett

Jacoby Brissett, when he isn’t asked to be Tom Brady, can actually do some decent work. He’s always within that 8-12 yard window, but that’s ok. As long as the Browns are eating clock, they’re doing their job. That late-game interception was rough but again, had Stefanski trusted his kicker (before he missed two kicks), the Browns would have had a lead before Brissett forced that pass. He’s been a solid option and fans should realize how lucky they are that Brissett has been this good.
