Three  bad from the Cleveland Browns. vs. Los Angeles Chargers game

Kevin Stefanski once again holds the team back

Kevin Stefanski is a big problem for this team. This is a team that should be looking at a 1-4 record, and that’s mostly on Stefanski for overplaying his hand on offense. Not only is his play-calling suspect at best, but his decision-making on big downs is abhorrent. He keeps trying to be smarter than the rest and usually lucks into a win or a second chance. Had Brandon Staley not Kevin Stefanski’d the end of the game, the Browns never get that second chance. Stefanski has got to prioritize points over analytics. That’s Stefanski’s biggest issue.

The entire defense

They’re all garbage. The Browns gave up two back-to-back games of 200-yards on the ground. Jadeveon Clowney and Myles Garrett both returned this week and both proved how ineffective they are against the opposing team’s run game. It was pretty obvious from the jump that Browns would once again have a struggle against the Chargers, who hadn’t been running the ball well prior to Week 5. So not only are good running teams beating up on the Browns, bad running teams are beating up on the Browns. Any argument to excuse Garrett’s inability is going to fall on deaf ears. He’s always been bad against the run. His recent car accident won’t nullify his inability to make an impact. The playbook for beating the Browns is out; run the ball.

Cade York

Cade York went 0-2 on the day and had a third opportunity taken away by Kevin Stefanski. Is that why you draft a kicker? We’ve been saying since he got drafted that kicking in a dome practice facility in the summer is not the same thing as kicking in Cleveland Browns stadium. He’s 8-10 on field goals this year and 9-11 on extra points.
