The Cleveland Cavaliers dominated the 4th quarter against the New York Knicks to win their fifth straight.

These Cleveland Cavaliers are never out of a fight. The Cavs dropped their first game of the year in a close bout with the Toronto Raptors, since then, the team has not lost. The team has rallied in the wake of that first loss, which also saw All-Star point guard Darius Garland go down with an eye injury.

Donovan Mitchell has led the way and has earned a lot of well-deserved praise, to the point that if the season ended today, he’d be the clear-cut MVP. Other names like Kevin Love and Dean Wade have stepped up huge, while Jarrett Allen is continuing his quest to be the Defensive Player of the Year.

The win over the New York Knicks on Sunday was a testament to the hard work the whole team is putting together. The Knicks were up 93-78 to close the third quarter, but Kevin Love shot 5-7 from three-point in the final frame of action and scored 15 of his 29 points. Love led the comeback but so many players contributed to it.

This Cavs team is never truly out of a game.  Cleveland won 121-108 and will face the Boston Celtics on Wednesday.

Cleveland Cavaliers top 3 vs. the New York Knicks

1 Point –Dean Wade

When Darius Garland comes back, it’s obvious that Dean Wade should be the starter at the three. He’s more reliable, more even and while he may not have a 40-point ceiling, he also isn’t likely to go 0-9 either. Wade finished with 22 points, shot 8-11 and 6-8 of which was from three. He also had four rebounds and three assists.

2 Points – Donovan Mitchell

Usually, the high-point man gets the three points, and Donvan Mitchell again dropped huge numbers, shooting 12-20 from the floor, going 8-13 from three with 12 assists and four turnovers is literally all you can ask from the guy. But we weigh each game differently.

3 Points – Kevin Love

Stats usually get you the top spot, unless you’re the catalyst for the comeback. Kevin Love scoring 15 points from three-point alone in the fourth quarter was the reason the Cavs were able to mount the comeback. He finished with 29 points and eight rebounds and was the star of the night.
