With it being Halloween, we’re looking at the five scariest Cleveland Guardians since 1994.

The Cleveland Guardians have had a lot of great players in their nearly 100+ years of operation. While not every great player has had the scariest of demeanor or made opposing players sweat due to how impactful they were, there were a few who fit that bill.

So on this Halloween, we’re looking at just five players since 1994 who either through their play, their persona or both, who struck fear in the hearts and souls of everyone who played against them.

Andrew Miller

Andrew Miller’s scariness was not something long-lasting like everyone else on this list. In fact, his dominance was really just two or three seconds long and it was so intense it may have been the reason he retired just a few years later. He threw hard, he threw often and he threw with intent.

There are other guys on this list with the demeanor that goes along with being “scary”, but Miller doesn’t have that. In fact, as far as a personality goes, Miller is “boring” compared to the other four men on this list.

He’s quiet, and unassuming, and doesn’t come across as someone who can absolutely destroy your confidence. But like a middle school insult, Miller was unassuming and life-changing. His run in the 2016 MLB Playoffs was legendary, and just about anyone who faced him, had to walk back to the rest of their team with their heads bowed in shame. No one could touch him, and even fewer had a good night’s rest the night before or father facing him.
