3 NFL games that Cleveland Browns fans should watch on the bye week
By Chad Porto
It’s bye-week Sunday and you know what means; no Cleveland Browns football.
The Cleveland Browns are off for the week, which means no Cleveland Browns football. No ranting, no raving, and no deal with a Crossroads Demon to turn the season around. No nothing. Nothing except a lot of football still to play.
The Browns are only two games back from the Baltimore Ravens for the division, and the Browns still have a few more divisional games to play. They’re not out of it yet. So it would make sense that the Bengals (vs. Panthers) and the Ravens (vs. Saints) would be on this list.
Sadly, no, we’re not worrying about the AFC North this bye week. We’re taking a holiday to watch the best football possible and with that being said, here are our three suggestions on games to watch this week.
Buffalo Bills vs. New York Jets – 1 PM ET on CBS
It’s the battle of the border as the New York Buffalo Bills take on the New Jersey New York Jets. It makes as much sense as anything else at this point. The Jets are off to a hot start and while their quarterback Zach Wilson has looked anything but good, they’re 5-3 and keeping pace with the Bills, who are 6-1. The Jets’ defense has been sensational, and the team has largely been powered by that and their run game.
The Bills, on the other hand, have one of the best all-around teams in the league, with a lone upset loss to the Miami Dolphins being the only blemish on their record. With MVP front-runner Josh Allen having a great year, and the Bills’ defense playing their tails off, this is a team that will be hard to beat.
I expect the Bills and Jets to have the game of the week. At least, for the 1:00 start times.
