The Cleveland Browns have a shot to beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The Cleveland Browns are not having a good year. The team is 3-7 and on the verge of being mathematically eliminated from playoff contention. There exists a possibility that the team can win out, and in doing so, secure a 10-7 record.

While it’s not a great chance, a chance exists nonetheless. The team would need to win on Sunday in order to keep their shot at a 10-win season alive. While it’s not a tall order, it’s one the team can obtain. The Buccaneers are not as good as they’ve been in the past since Tom Brady arrived.

The Browns have an honest-to-goodness chance to get the win and this is why.

Three reasons the Cleveland Browns can beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The Buccaneer offense is one-dimensional

If Tom Brady is having an off night, the Buccaneers are done for. The team has next to no rushing game to speak of when healthy, averaging a league-worst 3.1 yards per carry. If Brady can’t carry the offense, the team isn’t going to be able to score points. Granted, that means the Browns’ defense has to do that “t-word” they don’t normally do, but if they’re willing to “try”, then who knows?

The Buccaneers’ defense gives up more rushing yards than you’d realize

The Buccaneers’ defense is very good, but they’re not perfect. They give up an average of 4.5 yards per carry and while the Browns’ offense can be very inconsistent at times, assuming Kevin Stefanski can get Nick Chubb going, the Browns have a very excellent chance of controlling the action.

They’re very inconsistent

The Browns may not be a great team this year, unlike the Buccaneers, but I predicted this. The struggles were there from day one. The Buccaneers, however, were supposed to be the toast of the NFC still, but they’ve been very human, and very beatable. They’ve lost to the Packers, Panthers, and Steelers, so you know the Browns have at least a puncher’s chance of winning.

Next. The Cleveland Browns were never a super talented team, no matter what narratives were pushed. dark
