The Cleveland Browns have three very good reasons to play their best against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The Cleveland Browns are down to their last game of the season, a losing record is guaranteed, but that doesn’t mean the season has to be a failure. If the Browns can close out the season with a win, then the Browns will finish with a respectable 8-9 record and would have swept the Pittsburgh Steelers for the first time in a season since 1988.

It would be huge if the Browns could knock off the Steelers after the season they have had. So if that’s not enough for this team to get up to face off with the Steelers, then the Browns have three other very good reasons to show up and handle their business next Sunday.

So what reasons does the team have? Let’s discuss this.

The Cleveland Browns have three good reasons to show up against the Pittsburgh Steelers

To help Nick Chubb get the rushing title

Nick Chubb has 1,448 rushing yards on the season, placing him in second ahead of Derrick Henry and behind Josh Jacobs. It’s a long shot, but Chubb can still clinch a rushing record if he has a massive game, and Jacobs hits a wall. That would mean actually giving Chubb more than 15 carries, however. Something Kevin Stefanski isn’t keen on doing.

To help keep Kevin Stefanski as their head coach

The Cleveland Browns are likely to keep Stefanski no matter how this shakes out on Sunday, but if the team is truly behind him as their head coach, then the Browns have got to step up and deliver in grand fashion. Playing well against a potential playoff team in the last week of a lost season will only help the Browns’ management see Stefanski in a positive light.

To eliminate the Pittsburgh Steelers from the Playoffs

Steelers go Super Bowl? No, not if the Browns have their way. Steelers have to win on Sunday to even get a shot at the playoffs, but if they lose, they’re done. That should be all the motivation you need.
