Cedi Osman proved his value as the Cleveland Cavaliers defeated the Los Angeles Clippers.

The Cleveland Cavaliers got the win over the Los Angeles Clippers on Sunday night, with a final score of 122-99 in a game where Cavs forward Cedi Osman went off. The Clippers were without their top stars, so a win was obvious for the Cavs but still necessary.

See, the Cavs have had a few of these games before, where the opponent’s best players were out, and they fumbled the ball. While it may seem obvious that the team with the better talent should win, that hasn’t always been the case, so seeing the Cavs do their job is important.

Leading the way was Osman, who tied a career-high in points with 29, and did so with ridiculous efficiency. He missed just two shots all game, going 11-13 from the floor and 7-7 from three. He got the top spot on the Cavs’ Top 3, though his BPM left a lot to be desired. However, I have a standing rule that when you set a new career mark or have a career game, you default to the top spot.

Stats aren’t the only way to go get on the list, as Dean Wade had a ho-hum box score night but were a defensive menace to the Clippers. It can’t be understated how badly the Cavs missed him and Ricky Rubio.

Darius Garland is also getting a lot of love. While J.B. Bickerstaff played the Cavs far too long against the Houston Rockets, he got wise with the Clippers and held his starters to 20+ minutes. Garland did a lot of damage in just 23 minutes, dropping a double-double of 16 points, 10 assists, and a BPM of +27.

Donovan Mitchell and Evan Mobley had a BPM of +36 on the night, though they both played rather passive roles in the win.
