The Cleveland Browns should take a look at these Top 75 players

For this list, we’re looking at players the Cleveland Browns should sign that fall in the Top 75 of NFL.com’s Top 101 players list. No one higher than No. 31 will be included, as that’s going to be part of its own list. As mentioned in the previous article, we’re going to be looking at three levels worth of free agents in these three lists. The obvious Pro Bowlers (No. 30-No.1) were already posted, the obvious starters (No.75-No.31) will be looked at in this list, and the guys who can provide a boost as a rotational fit (No. 76-No. 101) will be the next list.

All three lists are going up alongside one another.

With the first list, we looked at three players in the Top 30 of NFL.com’s Top 101, but believe that only one player of the three would make sense financially. Regarding this list you’re about to read, we think any two of the three make sense to sign. So if we had our way, we’d hope that the Browns would pick two of the three you’re about to see.

While the last list will highlight a threesome of players we hope all get deals. Now, onto this list.

52. DE Calais Campbell

Don’t worry about the fact Calais Campbell is 36 years old, he’s aging like fine wine and could be a huge boost for the Cleveland Browns front four in a variety of ways. Historically he’s been a defensive end in 3-4 systems, but he’s still quick enough that he could play defensive end in the Browns’ new 4-3 scheme under Jim Schwartz while being big enough and strong enough to be a defensive tackle for the Browns as well.

Campbell would be the best run-stopper on the Browns’ front four despite his age, but getting him comes with an added bonus of weakening the Baltimore Ravens front seven. Campbell is arguably the Ravens’ best defensive line player and signing him away from them would be a huge blow to the team’s ability to defend against the Browns in 2023.
