DT. Longhorns . Moro Ojomo. 98. player. 851.

Moro Ojomo is a defensive line hybrid prospect out of Texas. He played defensive tackle for the Longhorns during his senior year but many NFL Draft analytics seem to suggest he move outside to play end. He’s a bit, and I mean just a bit light for a tackle, weighing in at 292 lbs. While the defense has gotten smaller and faster over the years, offensive guards have not. So you’d still want a guy who can hang with 300 lbs guards. Ojomo may not be the biggest tackle the Browns can get but he’s great at using his leverage to his advantage and he’s viewed as a very smart player, which you want in any rookie making the jump to the pros

There are two defensive tackle prospects I’m very high on at this point in the draft, Ojomo and Wisconsin’s Keeanu Benton. When I did this mock, Benton was already gone, so I went with my backup pick in Ojomo.

I don’t subscribe to the notion of waiting to pick a guy. While some have Ojomo as a fifth-rounder, I was high on him and he was the best tackle still on the board when I was picking. He wasn’t going to make it to my next pick, so I took him high so I could guarantee I get him.

The reason to be as high on Ojomo as I am is that he came in with a wickedly high 91.4 grade against the run in college. As the Browns need to do everything they can to bolster their front four against the run, a guy like Ojomo makes all the sense in the world. He can help fortify the run defense right out of the gate.
