"Round 4, Pick 24 (No. 126) Browns: Charlie Jones-WR-Purdue The Browns are top-heavy at receiver, but don’t have much depth at the position."

The Cleveland Browns do need another wide receiver or two, as the team is lacking predictable production. We know Amari Cooper could be good for 1,000 yards, and that Donovan People-Jones can produce 600-800 yards depending on his use, but after that, you have nothing but question marks and the dreaded P-word, “Potential”.

The Browns need to make sure they have enough weapons as possible and Charlie Jones could help to add to that, the only issue is that he, like the others already on the team, lacks a consistent track record.

The Draft Network basically says he’s fast and got great hands but lacks production beyond 2022. Which is true. He went from 21 receptions, 323 yards, and three touchdowns in 2021 to 110 receptions, 1361 yards, and 12 touchdowns in 2022.

PFF Gave him a score of 64.4 in 2021, to 81.6. He also played well against the best of the Big 10, with strong PFF scores against Penn State, Nebraska, Wisconsin, and even Michigan.

Would I Draft Him?: Yes, but I wouldn’t only draft him. There are plenty of good-looking prospects who have put up strong numbers on the field, at the combine, and by the aggregators at PFF. So I would take one of those first, and then see if Jones is still there in the 5th round.
