Cedi Osman

Cedi Osman may be on his way to another team if he flames out during the playoffs. It looks like he’s going to have a nice role in the playoffs, but that could change depending on how Danny Green looked in the eyes of the coaches. If Green did enough over the last few games to warrant minutes, it’ll likely come out of either Osman or Dean Wade’s minutes. Though, as the Cavs don’t have another big they can call on, it’ll likely just be Osman’s.

Osman has had a rough year, at times looking like a top-tier scorer, and others where he looks like he can’t hit the broad side of a barn. Yes, he’s not being used as he should, the dynamic point-forward has been reduced to a standard pull-up shooter and slasher, which isn’t what he’s about. He’s very much a young Hedo Turkoglu in that regard and would do well on a team that uses him and his natural talents for the betterment of the team.

Sadly, J.B. Bickerstaff just isn’t high on him, and beyond his streaky shooting, it’s hard to see why, as he’s a very good defender. Not on par with Rubio or Isaac Okoro, sure, but good enough that he could and should get more minutes. Yet, if he plays badly, he’ll likely be traded to improve the bench.
