Caris LeVert

Caris LeVert is a combo-parameter player, playing both the two and three on offense, depending on who’s on the court around him. LeVert isn’t known for his huge offensive scoring output, but his ability to be a versatile swish-army knife type of player is a huge reason why the Cavaliers keep coming back to him.

Thrust into the role of the sixth man of the team while Kevin Love struggled and Ricky Rubio rehabilitated his knee, LeVert struggled most of the year to find his best role. He would have some rough nights on both sides of the court, but over the last few weeks, LeVert really showed what he could be for the Cavs.

He became a great passer and a solid scorer while playing some of his most inspired defenses of the season most nights. With his contract up, it’s very likely that LeVert could be moving on one way or another after the playoffs. A candidate at the trade deadline, the Cavs opted to not move him, with the idea of re-signing him, but if LeVert flops in the post-season, he may not get the luxury of signing a new deal in Cleveland.

Which would make the Cavs look slightly bad for just letting a moderately attractive asset walk away like that.
