3 big moves the Cleveland Cavaliers could probably swing this offseason
By Chad Porto
Tobias Harris
After watching the Philadelphia 76ers get trounced in Game 7 against the Boston Celtics, it’s become very clear to anyone watching that this team is not going to win a title. James Harden is old and busted and tried to draw a foul every time he had the ball in his hands. Joel Embiid was far from the MVP the league believed him to be, and he’s out after just two rounds.
Tobias Harris, the team’s third scorer, will likely be moved to help shake up the roster and this is where the Cavs come in. Harden is likely gone, so the 76ers will need a new ball-handler and that’s where LeVert comes into play. Doing a sign-and-trade for Harris makes all the sense in the world for a variety of reasons.
Harris’ skillset is exactly what the Cavs need, but not as a third or fourth scorer. They need his stretching ability and his solid defense. He could easily average the same numbers in Cleveland as he did in Philadelphia, and do so on a team that doesn’t need him to be as dominant as the 76ers have asked of him in the past.
While he’s played a lot of power forward as of late, he has shown the ability to play small forward as well, so it’s likely he can easily slide in next to Evan Mobley and Donovan Mitchell with little adjustment needed.
