Have the Cleveland Guardians finally turned the corner?

The Cleveland Guardians may have finally turned the corner on their season.
The Cleveland Guardians may have finally turned the corner on their season. Entering the final game against the Baltimore Orioles 24-30, the Guards ended up being down 4-1 very early in the game.
Shane Bieber, who continues to slide as a player, was mauled. He went just four innings, giving up seven earned runs on eight hits and two walks, while only striking out four. The concerns for Bieber need to be more vocal, as he’s no longer the player he used to be.
His terrible outing nearly cost the Guardians two back-to-back series wins, but the Guardians finally woke up. They had 17 hits, and 12 RBIs on offense while smashing three home runs along the way. The big hitter of the day was Josh Naylor, who had one home run, six RBIs, and three runs. His batting average leaped, all the way to .251, all the way from .235.
Andres Gimenez also had a huge day, going 4-5 with two RBIs, and seeing his average leap to .242.
While the individual success was nice, it was the consistent outpouring of hitting that really impressed viewers. The Guardians scored in five different innings and were able to watch the bullpen close out the game. Granted, the Guardians had a 6-5 lead in the fourth inning, and you’d think with Bieber on the mound, that would be enough but the dramatic decline in his performances can’t be overlooked any longer. Something is wrong with him.
Is it a lack of gripping substance? Did he just burn his arm out? Whatever it is, it either needs to be fixed, or he needs to be dealt with while he still has value.
The Cleveland Guardians finally win back to back series since the start of the season
The Cleveland Guardians have not won back-to-back series since the Seattle Mariners and Oakland A’s series at the start of the year. That’s pretty bad, but the Cardinals, despite their record, aren’t a bad team and the Orioles are one of the better teams in the league.
For the Guardians to win four of six, taking both series and having the offensive outing that they had, it’s very possible the team is about to start hitting on all cylinders. The Twins, Red Sox, and Astros are coming up, and if the Guardians can win each of those series, they’ll be right back in the hunt for October.
