The Cleveland Browns have seemingly lost out on DeAndre Hopkins.

The Cleveland Browns have desperately tried to land DeAndre Hopkins to boast their offense for the 2023 season. The team is in need of known commodities at the position, who have a proven track record because the team just doesn’t have that at the position. Amari Cooper was good last year and Donovan Peoples-Jones has upside but Hopkins could’ve been a huge difference-maker if he were healthy and ready to go.

Yet, it sounds like the Browns have lost out on Hopkins. The former Houston Texans player was traded to the Arizona Cardinals and had three up-and-down seasons with the Cards. Rumored issues with the team’s quarterback Kyler Murray didn’t help, nor did the injuries and PED suspension that Hopkins was slapped with.

His tenure was almost a disaster and would have been had the Cardinals had a better quarterback. Since being released by the Cardinals, there have been a few teams to show interest alongside the Browns, and two of them have gotten visits. the Tennessee Titans and New England Patriots.

And now it seems like one of them seems to have landed Hopkins according to various reports around the league, Hopkins has interest from the Patriots but no offer yet, while the Titans did offer him a deal after his visit to Tennessee.

What can the Cleveland Browns do now that DeAndre Hopkins is likely off the table?

With the Browns no longer in the running, presumably, the team now must look to the future and try and find out what’s next for the offense. The Browns won’t be adding a multi-time Pro Bowler to the roster, and there isn’t another that’s really available.

Things could always change around for the Browns and Hopkins by the time you read this, but the most likely and expected course of action is to venture forth with who the team already has on the roster.

Sure, it may not be a who’s who of top names, but someone in the group of receivers could stand out and become an impact player.

Or not, and this offense falls apart. Hey, anything can happen.
