6 Browns on Thin Ice After Ken Dorsey Hiring
4. David Bell, WR
The development of former third-round pick David Bell has been frustrating for Cleveland Browns fans. To say the opportunity has been there for him to break out would be yet another understatement.
But with a new offensive coordinator coming into the mix, the Browns are going to get fresh eyes on all of their personnel on that side of the ball, and guys like David Bell might not make it through another offseason without getting replaced.
Ken Dorsey has connections to other receivers around the league. Heck, he could bring former Bills receiver Gabe Davis with him to Cleveland if the price is right. Nobody's roster spot at receiver is safe this offseason for the Cleveland Browns, perhaps least of all David Bell.
Bell did have three touchdowns this past season, all three within the final six weeks of the year. Those big plays have undoubtedly further confused the fan base about Bell's development up to this point. There's certainly nothing wrong with being patient with talented players, especially when you're talking about a recent top-100 pick who is barely 23 years old.
There would probably be teams lined up to take a shot on Bell, but a new offensive coordinator in Cleveland could spell the end of his time there.
