The Cleveland Browns can win back to back games this season with a win against the Oakland Raiders. After two weeks of play, there has been signs of progress, but the Browns are still struggling in certain areas. Will the improvements continue this afternoon?

Well, the Cleveland Browns are switching their starter at QB again. QB Josh McCown is ready to as he leads the Browns against one of his old teams, the Oakland Raiders (1-1). Browns OC John Defilippo also will be going up against the Raiders. This is his first time facing Oakland.

This week’s slate of NFL games will include brothers Josh and Luke McCown starting during the same week since 2007 according to ESPN’s Pat McManamon.

Something that needs to continue to be a factor is the Browns’ running game. Last week’s game against Tennessee was much more effective than Week 1 vs a talented New York Jets defense.

The Browns had a good balance between RB Isaiah Crowell (15 carries forr 72yards and a TD) and RB Duke Johnson (12 carries for 43 yards) in Week 2.

Also, the Browns’ defense as a whole did a great job a week ago with seven sacks! However, one question that has yet to be answered is when is the run defense going to pick up?

With the Raiders more know for their passing game, this week’s game could be the game that gets the Browns’ defense in sync with all of their responsibilities, on their way to plenty of success.

Speaking of questions, is this the game C Alex Mack gets back to playing up to his Pro Bowl caliber level?

For Oakland, keep an eye on QB Derek Carr. Prior to and during the 2013 NFL Draft, there were a variety of opinions from fans on which quarterback the Browns should draft. Carr was on one of those players, but he was selected in day two. Cleveland traded up in the first round to take QB Johnny Manziel.

Cleveland is currently tied for second in the AFC North. They are a game back of the 2-0 Cincinnati Bengals.
