The Cleveland Browns are a team that needs a new image.

The Cleveland Browns have an image problem. While the NFL as a whole isn’t chattering about Deshaun Watson’s gross behavior, that doesn’t mean the stain of his action isn’t still visible. We know what Watson did and that will never go away. The best the Browns can do is try and give fans enough good things to think about while this era of Browns’ football plays out.

Watson may return to form and if he does, it’ll be with a high-powered offense. While it’ll be hard for many to truly forget, or forgive, Watson’s heinous behavior, some fans may be swayed by a new look and an embrace of something more modern.

This may upset some fans, those who are stuck in the past and living off of nostalgia, but the Browns’ current look is associated with losing. While the simple brown, white, and orange color schemes of the past have really resonated with its simple perfection, the fact is that the look is now something that is tied to a truly awful period of time.

Like a new logo, and dare I say a new name, the Browns’ would benefit from a radical change of look as well and according to some NFL rumor sites, the Browns may be embracing a brand new look this year; white helmets.

The Cleveland Browns’ white helmets give the team a whole new feel

The white helmet, white jerseys, white pants, and orange and black trim will be a truly unique look in an NFL that is trying for unique looks. Not only that but the simple, yet refined look will be there. Just with less orange and brown.

The simple and clean lines will still be prevalent and it’ll give the team not only a new look but one that harkens back to a time when jerseys were simple in design and color scheme. It’s the perfect post-modern, retro throwback look.
