The Cleveland Browns will be looking for their first win Sunday. Prior to tomorrow’s game versus the Miami Dolphins, we discussed the two teams with FanSided’s Phin Phanatic, where we focused on a key match up, a new Browns player, and more!

Week 3 is here and for the Cleveland Browns, their situation is unfortunately worse now than it was last week. To have a better feel for what the Dolphins are planning and what they have done so far, Phin Phanatic‘s contributor Jack Scharr answered a few questions.

Like in Cleveland, Miami has a new coaching staff. What has been the reaction to Dolphins head coach Adam Gase and company so far?

Miami has been very welcoming to Coach Gase and his team. There seems to be a lot of support for him and the kind of team he is running. Even with an 0-2 start, the fans like what they have seen from Coach Gase and are giving him a chance.

Having lost running back Lamar Miller to the Houston Texans via free agency, is the running back position the most questionable position on the team now?

Since the injury to Arian Foster, running back has probably bumped up to the most questionable position. During the offseason, cornerback was the biggest question mark, but now Miami is trying to find the right running back to step in for Foster. Expect to see a good rotation this Sunday unless someone gets off to a fast start. Gase likes to go with the hot hand.

Miami dealt cornerback Jamar Taylor to the Browns during the 2016 NFL Draft. He has had a solid start to the season with eight tackles. Knowing what Taylor could be, was trading him the right move?

Jamar Taylor could never get out of his own way in Miami. He struggled with injuries and had a hard time ever feeling comfortable on the field. Moving on from him was the best situation for both parties.

It gave him a fresh start somewhere else where he had no history on injury or poor play. It allowed Miami to move on and focus on developing young new talent. Overall it was still a good move.

What is the factor that is being overlooked in this game that could determine the winner?

I think everyone is looking at this game and focusing on the quarterback play, but the real game factor could be the offensive line play. Miami has had a tough time running the ball so far this season and is still struggling to keep Ryan Tannehill upright. If they can come out and create holes and a decent pocket for Tannehill, the Dolphins could come out with a quick start. The same thing goes for the Browns.

With a rookie quarterback going against a great defensive line, the o-line will have to protect and give Isaiah Crowell room to run. Whoever dominates the line of scrimmage should come out with a win.

Rookie Cody Kessler is starting for the first time Sunday, so as expected he should receive a number of blitzes thrown at him. That said, both offenses have a few pieces they will rely on. So, can either team’s set of cornerbacks shut down the opposing offense’s wide receiver corp? Also, who is going to win and why?

Cody Kessler is going to have a hard time against Miami this Sunday. With Corey Coleman out with a broken hand, Miami has one less playmaker to worry about for Cleveland.

I don’t think either teams’ secondary is good enough to shut down the opposing receiving corp, but I don’t think they have to. They have to hold just long enough for the defensive fronts to push through and create pressure. Miami should come out with a close win this Sunday against the Browns 27-21.

Cleveland will run the ball well, but Kessler will face a lot of pressure from Miami’s front four. The Dolphins will get their run game going by rotating backs and using Tannehill in designed quarterback keepers. Tannehill will also take positive steps throwing the ball from last weeks loss.

Is this the week the Browns finally gets a win? Well, like every week it will be a tough game, but you never know! We also wish plenty of success to Jack and everyone associated with Phin Phanatic the rest of the season.
