Titans Impressive Rookie QB
The Titans offense is a bit different from the one the Browns saw last year and the key difference lies in the guy taking the snaps. Former Oregon Duck and 2015 Heisman winner Marcus Mariota is the Titans new quarterback. He showed why he was worth the No. 2 pick this past Sunday against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers when he threw 13 for 16 for 209 yards and 4 TD’s.

On the receiving end of his TDs were WRs Kendall Wright, and Harry Douglas, TE Delanie Walker, and HB Bishop Shankey. Shankey also finished with 74 yards on 12 attempts and a touchdown.
While we have a low NFL sample size when it comes to Mariota’s game, you can start to tell what kind of player he is. Mariota is an active QB in multiple ways. He likes to move his offense quickly up and down the field, something he actually did with ease against the Bucs.
Mariota’s game flourishes when he is able to speed up the pace of the game. This often leads to him putting up plenty of TDs. The other way he is an active QB is in the sense that he likes to move around a lot when he drops back to pass.
Mariota is a mobile QB and if defenses give him the opportunity to run then he will take it. One can see how he was a perfect fit at the University of Oregon.
There is of course more to this offense than its QB.
