The Voice of the Fan like many fans are not happy with the Cleveland Browns’ quarterback situation. To think too of the numerous chances they could have added one with great talent is just embarrassing.

Since this new team inception started with the Cleveland Browns, there have been a few glaring problems! I’m trying to be nice here, but we all know there’s been more than just a few.

It started with Kentucky grad and first round choice Tim Couch. He was the first choice overall and in turned Cleveland passed up Donovan McNabb. Thus, the first quarter of many mistakes!

I realize it wasn’t this regime’s fault as they have only been here for going on two years, but there are still mistakes made by the organization.

The same thing goes with the current regime with other past signal-callers; In no order, Johnny Manziel, Brady Quinn, Colt McCoy, Brandon Weeden and so forth.

There have been so many rebuilds that it is hard to keep count how often poor decisions are made. With each has come failure and pushed the Browns farther and farther behind all the other teams, not just in the division.

Now, with this current regime led by Sashi Brown and all the problems they have created. Before that though, they do deserve credit by building a decent offensive line!

However, the balance of the team it leaves much to be desired. Cleveland’s front office finally worked on the defense and may be making some progress, but why release your best corner in Joe Haden just before the season starts? Granted he’s may have lost a step, but before you do it, having his successor in place would have been nice.

Brown drafted four wide receivers his first year and look at how that has worked out. Not so hot as they all have had problems with bump coverage and not one has become or is on track to becoming a true WR1.

In fact, the Browns’ best receiver is suspended and could be forgotten by some. Yes, you read that right, I am talking about Josh Gordon!

The previous and current regimes have passed up a handful of very good quarterbacks that are playing much better than what was chosen by Cleveland.

Quarterbacks like Derek Carr, Teddy Bridgewater (possibly), Carson Wentz, and Deshaun Watson, comes to mind instantly. You would think that eventually with all their draft selections that they would hit on quarterback at one time.

I mean, come on… even a blind squirrel finds its food once in a while.

Plus you need talent around the quarterback when you do get lucky. Yet, more blundering has occurred by the team’s scouts and personnel people unfortunately.

Cleveland fans are getting upset with the lack of at least respectability. Let alone winning more than a game or two.
