An anonymous coach claims he’s watched Odell Beckham Jr. give up before in games.

Odell Beckham often gets a pass from the Cleveland Browns fanbase, but if they’re being honest they know that Beckham has earned his reputation. His personality, sideline outbursts, and off-field antics are widely known. He’s beaten up kicking nets, has gotten into shouting matches with more than one coach, and had a salacious video come out that seemed to allude to him doing things he shouldn’t be doing.

Let’s not forget the LSU debacle.

So yes, Beckham very much does whatever he wants, whenever he wants. So with a report coming out from an anonymous coach who claims Beckham has quit on plays before during his time in the NFL the Browns should worry that Beckham will do the same to them.

Or already has.

In Cleveland, he’s demonstrated a severe lack of mature decision making. Wearing jewelry while playing, being told to change his cleats that he knew beforehand were going to be a problem. He even had another incident involving an unapproved visor. Now, these may seem like minor issues but they’re not. When you make it known you won’t respect the simplest of rules, what makes anyone believe you’ll respect bigger ideologies like giving it all for a team?

If he can’t wear the proper gear without making a fuss, what makes you think he’ll go all out in the 4th quarter after an entire game of not being involved in the offense? Will he decide that he’s not going to help out because he hadn’t been used earlier in the game? You can’t dismiss that idea.

Beckham needs to change if he wants to avoid finding himself in a similar fate as those who came before.
