The Cleveland Browns are now 7-3 and are staring at their first winning season in 13 years. but what does the national media have to say about them?

The Cleveland Browns are coming off a 5-point win over the Philadelphia Eagles this past Sunday, and as always, the media has had no shortage of things to say. Whether you’re following local Cleveland media or national sports channels or radio, the Browns always seem to slip into conversations, even when they’re not relevant to the conversation.

The Browns have always been a hotbed for all sorts of takes, whether they be good, bad, indifferent, or completely ridiculous. It’s easy to criticize a bad team, and Cleveland has been close to the bottom or at the bottom of the league for a majority of their time post-relocation, especially in the last 20 years.

Some of these opinions hold a lot, and I mean a lot of water, and ring true still to this day. However, a lot of these opinions are based completely on bias and hatred for a team that really isn’t shaping the league but are finally starting to find a foothold in the AFC North. The question is: why are the Browns still being dismissed and laughed at by the national media?

It’s probably because they need hits, or views, or ratings or whatever they’re after, and everybody and their whole family have no problem uniting against the Browns. Even native Clevelanders love to talk poorly about their team. The problem is that none of these takes aren’t really based in fact, but more so on feeling.

That’s completely fine, but let’s not completely dismiss a team that’s rebuilding based on a few opinions that try to dismantle the team. That being said, let’s take a look at the three worst takes about the 2020 Cleveland Browns.
