The Cavs saw Dean Wade and Collin Sexton really step up big for Cleveland in their Sunday matchup with the Toronto Raptors.

The Cavs defeated the Raptors 116-105 on Sunday night, holding off the team from Toronto late. The Raptors continue their downward spiral and are sitting at 17-25, while the Cavs are now 16-26.

The Raptors got a nice game out of Fred VanFleet with 23 points, but near the end of the game, VanFleet started forcing shots, ending his night 8-24 from the floor and 5-15 from three. Kyle Lowry finished the night with 18 points and 8 assists. Rumors persist about Toronto moving on from the franchise icon Lowry as they continue to tumble out of the playoff hunt.

The Cavs, on the other hand, had a stellar day from three of their young pieces. Collin Sexton put up 36, but Darius Garland shot 50% from the floor and had 15 points and six assists. Though, he also had six turnovers.

Who had the three best games though?

Top 3 Game Performers

We’re going to break this down hockey style and award “points” to the players that impressed us the most. First;

1 Point – Jarrett Allen

Jarrett Allen went 4-8 from the floor, 9-11 from the free-throw line, and finished the day with 17 points and 15 rebounds, his best-played game in some time. It might be his best game since the All-Star game returned.

2 Points – Dean Wade

Coming off the bench for a big game, Dean Wade kept the Cavs in it early and helped finish it off late. Finishing with 16 points, three rebounds, and three assists, Wade shot 5-8 and went 4-7 from three. He didn’t hit another three in the second half, but he did help sink some last-second free throws to seal the win.

3 Points – Collin Sexton

Then there’s Captain Cleveland himself, Collin Sexton. Sexton had a great game, going 13-24 from the floor, hitting a whopping 6-9 from three, and finishing with 4-6 from the line. He had 36 points, 4 assists and was unstoppable He showed what he can do when he has a three-point shot falling. If this keeps up, he may make fans rethink his ability to be the franchise piece.
