Browns mock drafts are as common as oxygen these days, but one always worth paying attention to is the work of The Athletic’s Dane Brugler.

The national prognosticator and former Mount Union football standout went the distance, compiling a 256-pick 7-round mock draft, and he tried to cover all the bases for the Browns.

Overall, you’ll see Brugler did a solid job. Compiling a 7-round mock is true yeomen’s work, as it’s impossible to know who the Browns will take at No. 26, let alone in the fifth round.

Before we get started, it’s been interesting to see how many national mock drafters continue to go with edge rushers for Cleveland in the first round. It’s an important, big-money position, but would Paul DePodesta and Andrew Berry really green-light the fourth or fifth best edge rusher when Cleveland could get a higher rated player at a different position?

Assuming the Browns will be good, they can happily take an edge rusher next season, hopefully picking last in the first round and they’ll essentially be getting the same player.

Will Brugler go edge in the first round? Here’s how his draft grades out…
