The Week 2 matchup between our Cleveland Browns and the Houston Texans didn’t exactly go the way we’d all drew it up in our heads, but the bottom line was still met, with Kevin Stefanski’s group staving off their opponent for a 31-21 win.

It was unfortunate to see former Brown Tyrod Taylor leave the game after suffering a hamstring injury at the end of the first half, but the Cleveland got a break with Houston’s starter on the sideline.

While backup Davis Mills was good enough to keep Houston in the game, there wasn’t really a threat of the Browns blowing this one, playing in front of a capacity crowed there was mostly in its seats at kickoff, heeding the advice of Stefanski.

Not every victory is going to be worthy of playing in slow-mo with the NFL Films music playing in the background, but they don’t need to be either.

The Browns needed to beat a lesser opponent and get their first win of the season in their home opener.

There was a lot they got right and they got wrong. Fortunately, they get another winnable game against a Bears team that may have to start former Ohio State signal Calle next week.

Here’s a look at 5 Browns whose stock is up for their efforts in brining Cleveland’s record to 1-1.
