The Cleveland Browns found themselves on the wrong side of a thriller in LA, losing 47-42 to the Chargers in Week 5.

The week 5 contest in which Cleveland entered as one-point favorites lived up the hype as the game featured nine lead changes. Both squads ran 68 plays and put up a combined 1,000 yards of offense.

The Browns are no strangers at breaking the hearts of their fan base, though, and this was another crack in our collective  life force as only our beloved orange helmets invent ways to lose.

According to ESPN, the Browns are the “first team in NFL history, including the playoffs, to lose when scoring 40-plus points with 500 yards and zero turnovers.”

When you give up 40 and lose, there will be plenty of players who saw their stocks sink, but there were some great performances on the field as well.

Here’s five Browns who saw their stocks rise in a thriller that didn’t shake out Cleveland’s way.
