3 terrible things from the Browns loss to the Packers

The three worst things from the Browns loss to the Packers
Only three things? Right. The Browns’ loss to the Packers is as bad as the Raiders’ loss and the Chargers’ loss from earlier this year. Worse somehow than the loss to the Chiefs. All four losses shouldn’t have been and all four games would’ve had the Browns in the playoffs by now.
Instead, they need magic to happen to get them in, along with winning their last two games. It’s been a debacle. Now as a season-long effort, it’s not all on Baker Mayfield for those losses, though some will desperately try to re-write history to make it seem that way. Mayfield has looked good for the bulk of the season but as far as Saturday night goes, no, Mayfield did not look good.
The Browns have had many issues this year, namely injuries and an absurd amount of positive COVID tests. That all factored into their 7-8 record. It isn’t just one player, it isn’t just one coach. It’s an organizational failure.
Before we dive deep into the ripping of the team and coaches for their loss against the Packers, however, I have to point out the officiating in the game. I don’t want to pass the buck because Mayfield did throw some picks and the defense did allow those touchdowns, but there were so many missed calls that if the Browns don’t officially condemn or demand an investigation into the game, I would be surprised.
It’s bad enough to miss two face masks and two pass interference calls, but to penalize the Browns for the Packers being offsides? Something’s rotten in Denmark.
