3 terrible things from the Browns loss to the Packers

The special teams
Jamie Gillan was averaging 44 yards per punt this year. Wanna guess what Dustin Colquitt has been doing? 42 yards. He had just one punt on Sunday of just 37 yards. It seems like everyone thought Gillan was a problem when he actually wasn’t. Colquitt isn’t doing well (or better) at all, but the team made the move to replace Gillan and I’m still confused as to why.
Yet, Chase McLaughlin is kicking 71.4% and he’s still on this team. Then, of course, you have Chris Naggar who was a punter in college, and surprise-surprise the Browns kicking game was atrocious on Sunday.
The missed extra point really did cost the Browns the game. Had the Browns made that first extra point, then there’s no two-point conversion attempt and the Browns are tied at the end of the fourth. I understand he was a rookie and was on the practice squad all year but are you telling me no seasoned pro would’ve taken practice squad money to hang around and wait for his opportunity to replace the shakey McLaughlin?
This is one of those times where Andrew Berry thought he was smarter than everyone else in the room yet again and failed to have the team properly prepared for any eventuality. His famous “we’re always looking to improve the roster” comment seems suspect.
