It’s back to the roster guessing game, as the Cleveland Browns are watching the playoffs from the sidelines for the 23rd time in 25 years since the franchise’s re-birth in 1999.

There will be plenty of free-agent and draft speculation to cover, but first, GM Andrew Berry needs to consider his own roster.

First off, the Browns will have around $27 million in salary cap space, which puts them right around the middle of the league, according to Sportrac. As we’ve seen throughout the years, there’s always a way to manipulate the cap, and that number could go higher if the Browns act accordingly.

But if they do nothing, that’s the number, and the team will certainly have to look at some free agents to improve a roster that failed to meet expectations in 2021.

Plus, there’s the whole Baker Mayfield storyline to follow thought out the offseason as the fan base waits to see if Berry will replace the former No. 1 pick.

Here’s three players who could be candidates for a restructured contract in 2022.
