Myles Garrett will suit up with two former Cleveland Cavaliers next weekend.

It’s not often that Myles Garrett and The Cleveland Cavaliers are presented in the same news story but that’s the case this week, as Garrett will join two former Cavs in the upcoming Celebrity Game, set to take place during the weekend of the All-Star Game.

Joining Garrett will be former beloved Cavs players, Daniel “Booby” Gibson and Anderson Varejao; two of the more popular players from that 2007 NBA Finals team. Gibson was a seven-year player for the Cavs, averaging just under eight points per game while shooting 40.7% from three-point in an era where three-point shooting had not yet taken off. He left basketball at just 27 due to a lot of personal issues that culminated around the same time he was having ankle surgery.

Varejao played 13 seasons in Cleveland, averaging seven points and seven rebounds per game during his run. Both men had two seasons of scoring double-digit points in their careers.

Garrett is one of the Browns’ best players and is on his way to breaking the franchise sack record. He’s only 3.5 shy of Clay Matthews’ record, but it should be noted Matthews played several years in the league where sacks were not a stat that was recorded.

The Celebrity Game is lacking All-Star power

The two teams will be coached by Bill Walton and Dominique Wilkins and the organizes really screwed up; as Gibson and Varejao aren’t even on the same team.

Walton’s team includes country music singer Jimmie Allen, a Fanatics All-In Challenge winner Noah Carlock, a model by the name of Britteny Elena, pop-punk/rapper Machine Gun Kelly, Las Vegas Aces Dearica Hamby, pro skateboarder Nyjah Huston, Matt James of the Bachelor, a rapper named QUavo, actor Ranveer Singh, a friggin Peleton instructor named Alex Toussiant and of course Varejao. Who Fox 8 is calling a Cavaliers legend.

Wilkins team includes a rapper by the name of Anuel AA, Cleveland major Justin Bibb, singer Kane Browns, Garrett, actress Tiffany Haddis, rapper Jack Harlow, Harlem Globetrotter Crissa Jackson, singer Anjali Ranadive, Olympic high jump champion Gianmarco Tamberi and Gibson, also called a Cavalier legend.

Not sure if Cavalier legend is the right term for Varejao and Gibson but whatever.
