If the Raptors are looking to move 6-foot-7 power forward OG Anunoby, the Cavs should, at the least, be taking Toronto’s temperature for a potential trade.

The idea of Toronto moving on from the 24-year-old stems from the Bleacher Report, via Hoops Wire.

Cleveland was rumored to be tossing around the idea of trading for Warriors’ wing Andrew Wiggins, although Golden State’s trip to the Finals may throw a wrench into that plan.

Bearing the Wiggins rumor in mind, the Cavs enter the summer looking for help at the wing, and it’s not surprising as it’s the weakest link on the roster.

Anunoby became available following the rise of Rookie of the Year Scottie Barnes, but he’s still a very productive player, having averaged 17.8 points and 5.5 rebounds in just 48 games.

Toronto may be looking for a starting caliber center, and obviously, the Cavs won’t be moving Jarrett Allen, but I wonder if there’s something they can work out, considering the Cavs pick 14th in the draft.

That pick, along with a contract (Kevin Love) give Cleveland some options.

Anunoby is under contract for the next two seasons, while he carries a player option for a third. He’s due to earn just north of $17 million next season.

Cavs fits

1. As for the aforementioned Wiggins trade rumor, It would almost certainly require Kevin Love’s contract.

2. Another fit floated on this website was Elfrid Payton. Everyone hopes (me included) Ricky Rubio will be back next season, but hope doesn’t change the fact he’s coming off a second torn ACL. He likely wouldn’t be able to help until January.

3. Aside from the draft, the big news involving the Cavs will be what happens with Collin Sexton. Look for Cleveland to make an offer, but they’ve got to get him on a good contract, meaning they can trade it if necessary.

Next. 3 offensive players who may have breakout seasons. dark

4. As for the second-round, The Athletic listed these best fits who might find their way to Cleveland.
