Kevin Love is having a renaissance as a Cleveland Cavaliers elder statesmen

The Cleveland Cavaliers are watching Kevin Love remake his career as a sixth-man off the bench for the club and doing exceptional at it. While the big man is currently dealing with a thumb injury, Love’s impact, or lack thereof during his absence, is noticeable. He’s clearly someone that the team needs to succeed.

Yet, his success on the court isn’t all he’s known for. Yes, he’s a franchise legend for two clubs, the Minnesota Timberwolves, and the Cleveland Cavaliers. He’s also nearing a Hall of Fame entry as well. On top of that, he has a valid shot to reach his fifth NBA Finals and second NBA Finals Championship.

Despite that, there are still some fans who don’t know that much about Love off the court. So with the Cavs being the toast of the town and the NBA at the moment, we’d figure we’d do a bit of a deep dive and find some facts that you may, or may not have known about the Cavaliers legend.

He’s a contributing editor for the Players’ Tribune

Love is a man of many hats. He’s a philanthropist, an advocate for mental health, apparently the NBA’s sexiest man, and also a contributing editor to the Players’ Tribune publication. Created by New York Yankees legend Derek Jeter, the publication allows players to have a more direct voice when it comes to their life, their sport, and their experience.

Everyone from Love to John Wall, to Diamond Dallas Page and Luke Prokop has penned pieces for the outfit. Love, as editor, clearly has more involvement than most. It’s always fascinating to see athletes embrace a more creative side, as it’s not something people see all too often.
