The Cleveland Browns can be big winners on Sunday by beating the Houston Texans.

The Cleveland Browns and Houston Texans are set to square off in what should be a lopsided game. The Browns are a better team, with better talent, and a quarterback who the Texans know all too well. Deshaun Watson will be returning to the team after being suspended for committing acts of sexual assault against numerous women and his return should bolster the Browns’ offense.

Even if his accuracy is off, which shouldn’t surprise anyone considering he’s missed nearly two years of action, Watson’s mobility should change the entire game for the Browns. While Jacoby Brissett played valiantly and even took off running at times, Brissett isn’t a very athletic quarterback. Watson is.

Assuming Watson’s knees haven’t degraded (having had reconstructive ACL surgery on both), then Watson should still be able to push the action even if his passes are off the mark. That alone isn’t the only reason the Browns should roll the Texans

A complete offense

With Watson back, the Browns’ offense can now operate at near or even full capacity. The line isn’t the best, and even before Ethan Pocic’s injury was having pass-blocking issues, but with Watson back that shouldn’t be nearly as problematic. Plus you add the fact that Nick Chubb exists and you have the makings of an offense that may be able to put up some really lopsided performances.

Too much talent

The talent difference between the two teams is noticeable and honestly, it shouldn’t be. The Browns are not a very well-managed team, and Andrew Berry has missed more than he’s hit on draft picks, trades, and signings. Yet, the Texans are in full-rebuild mode and look more like the Browns of 2017, than the Browns of 2022. That simple fact makes the Browns the likely favorite.

A smothering defense

If the Browns can play to the same level of effectiveness against the Texans as they did the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, then it doesn’t matter who the Texans have at quarterback or how often they try to run the ball, it just won’t matter.
