The Cleveland Browns watched Deshaun Watson throw ball after ball into the turf on Sunday.

It could’ve been worse, that’s what every fan should be saying after the disgraced Deshaun Watson finally took the field on Sunday afternoon against the Houston Texans. The Cleveland Browns watched their franchise quarterback turf ball after ball all game long in what was an expectedly bad performance.

Sure, we knew it’d be bad, but we’re not going to let him off the hook.  Just because he was off for 700 days, doesn’t mean he had to play like garbage. His coaching staff could’ve protected him better, given him more time to practice, and not rushed him onto the field.

They did, he struggled, so he makes the list. The upside though is, despite fans being very negative about Watson, he should improve. It may take the final five games for him to show any real consistency but there isn’t anyone who thinks he shouldn’t return to his former on-field glory. It may take the entire rest of the season, but he should eventually look better.

If it wasn’t for the Browns’ defense, the game would’ve been wildly different. So in the spirit of spreading the joy around, we’re going to look at three other names that also saw their status tank after Sunday.

Three other Cleveland Browns with tanking stocks after the Houston Texans win

Jedrick Wills

The former first-round pick in 2020 has proven to be anything but reliable. He was at the bottom of PFF’s rankings, right next to Wyatt Teller, but Teller is historically a better player than Wills, to see Wills at or near the bottom yet again is disheartening. The Browns’ offense did struggle on Sunday and not all of it due to Watson. Wills and the o-line, for the second straight year, have struggled.

Anthony Schwartz

With a fumble, a missed tackle, and a concussion; Anthony Schwartz is one step forwards, three steps back perpetually. When he makes a positive play, it’s more luck than anything.

Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah

The Cleveland Browns’ best linebacker is not suited for middle linebacker work. He’s not a good tackler and that was shown on the display against the Houston Texans. This isn’t surprising, as he’s quite an undersized linebacker. His playing out of position didn’t help things at all.
